Dynamic alignment guides allow for easy repositioning without setting static guidelines. This is going to be seen as an opportunity missed unless Corel jumps on this opening quickly. I for one, hate what Adobe has done. I went to many hours of schooling to learn how to use their product effectively. Now they look like the dope pusher to me. Keep people using Windows and take Corel out of the Linux market. They did it with silverlight with netflix-desktop and now with pipelight. I bet they can do it with Corel. I have been using Corel Draw on a mac os since corel draw version 8. I have been stuck with corel version 11 for the past several years and only use illustrator when I absolutely have to.
I have never used the boot camp or parallels version. I hope you get the response you need to create a new version of native software for the mac…. I will be patiently waiting!!!!!!!! I have been using Corel Draw 11 on an old Powerbook G4 for several years.
CorelDraw on Windows runs ok, but the thing is that you loose valuable disk space, RAM and processing power just to run Windows alone. This is absurd.. I would even be really happy with CorelDraw alone and none of the other apps PhotoPaint, etc. We are tired of Adobe and their way of doing business. CorelDraw is much better than Adobe illustrator. I know a few people that use it on the PC. I would purchase it immediately if it was available for Mac OSX natively.
Also other programs run not that well compared to native OSX software. I too hope for a genuine Mac CorelDraw in a future hopefulls not too far. I have also learned to love Adobe products, that is until they pulled a fast one.
Spin it any way you want in my mind that put you Corel in the same place as Adobe, backing us into a corel. Until they do I will not make the switch back. We have all been asking for years for updates to the product line to make them better and much of that has been ignored. Hey, I get it. But you should do that legitimately. We would have much more respect for you if you did. If you had listened to your loyal customer all along you would would already have a mac product and those Adobe customers would have been falling all over themselves to get to you.
But Corel, please try and make me wrong in that assumption. Adobe does make good software, but there is not need to be a slave to them. Corel is a strong company with lots of good products. I have been in the business for many years now and know of a lot of successful designers producing high quality jobs using Corel software. Corel can easily compete with Adobe any day. I too was dependent on Adobe products until I woke up, took a stand, and decided to incorporate other products into my companies workflow.
Adobe can go out of business today, and I will still be able to run my business with no problems. I would never let one software company determine the future of my business. I tested the waters with CorelDraw in version 7 but dismissed it and went on to learning Adobe products. However because of a friend requesting that I re-learn the Draw,. I obtained a copy of Draw and I was surprised on the improvements!

As soon as funds are available, I will be switching over to the Mac for various reasons and I would love to have all native apps instead of having to use 3rd party software to get my CorelDraw to work. Corel here is a opportunity here to get people to switch to your software!
CorelDraw Graphic Suite X6, the complete graphic suite
Adobe is starting to close the door in a lot of ways and while one door is closing, another is opening! If I was Corel, I would be taking this opportunity and running with it! But if Corel would let it run on Wine, then I would buy it. Do a Kickstarter campaign and hire more people!
I think this says it all. I wonder what part of that does Corel not get.
